Does anyone here have any experience (preferably good) running an Amazon Store?
Their FAQ is here, but in moronese: http://webstore.amazon.com/Online-Store-FAQ/ Much as I'd love "to successfully leverage the power of Amazon's technology," I'd rather know if there's any chance in hell of making any money. As it costs $60/mo and I would be trying to operate a gluten-free foods store, it seems unlikely to be profitable. However, if anyone has any experience with this, I'd love to hear about it. For instance, it would be sporty to know whether WebStore owners get a discount on the merchandise they carry; kinda seems like it would be one of the more frequently asked questions. As it isn't on the FAQ, I'm assuming the answer is no, but if anyone knows otherwise, that would be the thing I'd like to know most.

1. Gluten free sounds like a good idea. Looking at costs and ways to advertise. There's a lot of

quality websites for people getting off of gluten stuff.

I would love a store featuring Erythitrol sugar. It is good for diabetics and anyone wanting alcohol sugar products.

So that means low carb people too.

You have to figure out enough hooks to get traffic.

That's how I list stuff on ebay. items grouped into similar interests= higher probability of multiple buys.

So you might want to have more than one angle on what you provide. Something related.

I can offer no help w/ Amazon store, just moral support

2. Moral support is nice, too
though my primary motivation would be no longer having to drive all over hell and gone to get my groceries. If there isn't any discount, I may as well just buy from Amazon the regular way rather than go to the trouble of setting up a store. However, since they give you 30 days free trial, it might be a hoot to try it anyway. Regardless, thanks for responding, and for the moral support.
