The all time greatest Oxymoron has to be
"virtual reality".

Think about it...

And no, Oxymoron is not Rush Limbaugh. That would be Oxymoran...

14. I believe that Carlin also identified a triple- and a quadruple oxymoron
Triple: Permanent Guest Host (the term used to refer to Joan Rivers when she was the go-to fill-in host of the Tonight Show)

Quadruple: Fresh frozen jumbo shrimp (actually, I guess that's a double-double, but who's counting?)

For that matter, I'm not 100% sure that these were from Carlin; they might have originated with Richard Lederer.

15. My understanding is that this one originated with Groucho Marx
"Military intelligence is a contradiction in terms."

I can't seem to find a year of attribution, but I'd say that there's a fair chance that his joke predates Carlin's.

21. I don't think you're technically wrong, though
When I was trying to track it down, I saw that Carlin is repeatedly credit with the joke, so it's either widely attributed to him in error, or else he borrowed the joke and made it his own (since he certainly mastered that kind of verbal humor!)
