I want to pet some doggies
I'm in the mood for some doggie interaction

I can't own one where I live, and I miss having one.

I love doggies

19. Are you still up - it's like 3:30 where you are
I think I'm just going to go to bed. I have to give my cat her medicine at 7:30 in the morning, and once I'm up it's hard to go back to sleep.

You have a beautiful dog.

21. Yeah, I'm still up
Sleep clock's off. :) I have to eat every five hours and if I don't eat before bed I won't wake up. Goodnight. Sleep tight. I don't bite. :D

4. Check with the local animal shelter
You might be able to volunteer to be a dog walker or in-shelter dog trainer. Lots of shelters are (finally) realizing that a little bit of training makes the dogs more adoptable. If your local shelter is behind the times or not public oriented in that way, you may want to volunteer with a local pure-breed or all-breed rescue group in some capacity, they always need help.

Those are all ways to get some dog time.

16. sigh..
I'm a super doggie lover. But I only have cats now.

I had a great dog, but when my ex left, I couldn't take care of him properly, so my sister took him. Now he's in heaven - he's got three kids to look after and a big yard and a mama who spoils him. I miss him.

I've always said my dream job would be a door-to-door puppy tickler.

"knock knock"

"hello?"

"Afternoon Ma'am. Got any puppies need ticklin'?"

"Why yes. Yes I do. Please come on in."

Sigh.. a man can dream.

18. I prefer cats
But I desperately want a puppy to play with. I'm trying to talk my boyfriend into getting one. A baby Doberman. But so far he's not convinced :(

22. I often feel the same way...
... and I tend to enjoy others' doggies vicariously.

On a related note, my best friend's dog, Sebastian, just died a few days ago :(

I've known that dog for 12-13 years. "Big Red Dog" we'd call him.. 'though I always thought he was more orangy/yellow (mostly Lab mutt).. and he was a really hyper dog most of his life, but chilled out in the last few years, of course... loved to run circles around the pool, but would only run in one direction. If you tried to get him to run the other way, he might make it half a lap or so, but then he'd suddenly stop and start running the other way.

I shot some photos of him a few months ago. I never printed any of 'em, but the negatives looked got... Maybe I should get around to that...

Anyway, he was a great dogger, and I'm gonna miss him...
