Are you lazy and if so how lazy, any personal bests?
i thought my personal best was not buying a microwave meal because the instructions read "Stir half way through cooking time, re cover and continue to cook" and no way am i doing that but then i realized today when i was at the supermarket that when i buy fruit i never buy any kind that has to be peeled.

3. my husband got those jurassic sized crab legs at Costco so he brings them and literally shoves them
into the microwave, like bending them and having to shut the door real quick before a claw came back out, honest to gawd it was like something out of a horror movie.

i am with you though, if i was still eating meat and seafood no way would i get anything i had to de shell.

Too far. Too lazy.

Peel them from the bottom and you will expend half as much energy than starting from the stem end. I learned this little secret watching a chimp and said, "Oh, wow, chimps are smarter!".

54. y'all are crazy
Peeling fruit is one of the most sensuous things you can do in public without getting promptly arrested.

I myself am all kinds of lazy, but have never lacked the motivation to peel a frickin' orange. :eyes:

OK, so maybe that was mean. I'm sorry. :hide:
But try it again. You may find peeling to be worth the effort.

81. I was rather spoiled, actually.
I spent 20 years in Florida. We had an orange tree and a grapefruit tree right next to the house. After a while I just got so used to having fresh citrus all the time that it didn't seem worth the effort.

... kinda the same thing with Disney too. :P I'd managed to get in free so many times that it just didn't seem worth paying a ticket to get in when I didn't have free tickets or a friend or family member who worked there.

39. I am the bastard child of lazy and ADD
A few days ago I transplanted some plants out of gallon pots into the ground.

For days these pots have been marring my view of the garden.

Today I resolved to do something about it!

I was going to go get the pots, stack them up, and throw them with the others in the carport.

I walked 15 feet across the lawn, and stacked the 5 pots up.

I looked out in the back yard an hour later, and there they were, stacked up neatly.

Somehow, between stacking them up and putting them in the carport, I got distracted.

Tomorrow I really must do something about them.

69. I'm so lazy...
I’m reading this thread on how to be lazy because I am just too lazy to think up my own languorous ways.

73. Cleaning out stuff
Stuff that had been sitting in trunks since the Paleozoic era. In one of the books was a home work assignment from junior high school. That's a little over a half century ago, friends.

Think I should get off my arse, finish it and send it in?

Lazy or procrastinator? You decide.

Edited on Thu Nov-20-08 12:52 PM by Shell Beau
stared down my friend so she could feel me staring. When she looked my way, I pointed to what I needed her to hand me. Probably a bag of chips or something. I was that lazy that I wouldn't even talk! That is pretty damn lazy. Of course the "smoke" may have had something to do with it.

I am no longer lazy. One can't be with a tiny baby!!!!

76. I wish I were more lazy.
I wish I could sleep past 7 a.m. on weekends.

P.S. Is peeled fruit now available in the US? I've never seen that anywhere except in the frozen foods section. I'm a cultural infidel, I think.

79. You're not a cultural infidel. It's just that US denizens don't mind paying
someone to peel their fruit for them. Diana Krall even sings about it - but I don't think she pays.

:hi:

86. Regarding nutrition...
...when my wife and I were dating (30+ years ago) she came to my apartment and found the sole contents of the refrigerator to be:

1 case beer

1 can Campbells condensed "Bean With Bacon " soup...can open, half consumed, with fork stuck down into it...no water added...

There was also the time I found myself drinking cold, 3 day old coffee directly out of the carafe while sitting on the edge of the bed in my skivvies...but that is a whole 'nuther story...

94. That would mean I'd have to find a blanket,
stand up, actually walk over to the air conditioner and go to the great trouble of positioning the blanket around it. I think I'll just sit here and look at it instead.

96. In one year we moved 4 times, so the last time we moved
I was reluctant to unpack again... that was 8 yrs ago... still have a whole lot of boxes in the garage

In my defense... we have mice, so I hate unpacking and finding "presents"

I am also so lazy that when my husband is upstairs, I call him on his cell phone because I am too lazy to get up and holler at him

whew all this typing...need a nap

101. When we moved to Oregon
about half the boxes stayed not just unpacked from 92 until present, but they stayed IN THE TRUCK until 2001. My dad bought the truck so that he didn't have to unload it.

Because actually boiling a hot dog and putting it in its own bun is too much work.
