See the colored sculptures? That is the exhibition we will look at. A guy did research how scultures looked like back in the day. That is what he came up with.

The squirrels here at work (I'm on a college campus) are quite busy getting ready for the winter. They're so intent that they don't even notice you until you are right next to them, and they don't care enough to run away. I keep meaning to bring my camera out to get good shots of them, but I keep forgetting.

I love squirrels. They are just too damn fast - normally - to get a good picture. You definitely need to take your camera and seize the chance :)

Didn't go to the concert after all. Wasn't in the mood to stay till 7pm at work. Went home, ate and called a friend I haven't talked to in a bit. Was nice too.
Also, I got ahead on my Christmas presents.

I'm making a lot of my presents this year, but I'm so behind that I think I'm going to have to break down and buy some too. I swear, every year I say I'm going to start earlier and get more homemade ones done, and every year it gets to about Thanksgiving and I realize there is no way I'll finish in time. :shrug:

38. A couple presents I do myself

OK ... I took pics and now am using an online service to make calendars with it. For my mom with doors (which she likes) and for her bf with pics of our Sweden trip this summer.

And then there is this DU calendar :)

Other presents I will buy. It is funny. For my mom I could buy millions of presents, so many ideas I have.

I do a lot of embroidery, so I usually unusual stuff for some people (who would enjoy it). I think my favorite, because it was so weird, was a Doctor Who purse I made for my sister.

I also make jewelry so most of my cousins are covered.

And often I bake cookies or something for aunts and uncles.


My favorite gift that I get every year is fresh honey from a friend who has bee hives. It's delicious and I look forward to it for months every year.

I LOVE honey!!!! I have a bunch of different honeys at home. Each one tastes unique, it is amazing.

I love honey too, but my mother hated it, so it wasn't in the house. I didn't really start eating it on stuff until after I moved out. I can't believe how many years I wasted not having it. :P

I've been watching birds feast at the feeders all morning. The hairy woodpeckers are coming today. I haven't seen them all summer and didn't think they migrated. I'll have to look that up.

I get to take some dumbass to court today for one of several recent DUIs. I hope it isn't "continued" again. It's getting old.

Also, today I get to play in the kitchen making cupcakes. I'm looking forward to that :D
