Wish they'd make a hybrid or long range electric version.

2. Does it only seat 5?
Curious if anyone still makes station wagons that have the third seat in the back, or is it just assumed that everyone who ever wants to seat more than 5 needs a miniVan or SUV...

3. there were Taurus wagons that had the extra fold up/down seat. Have no earthly idea
if the current ones do.

I think the Taurus wagon design has changed to less oval now, too.

It's great because it gives my 107-pound Rottweiler plenty of room,

13. The fishbowl w/ the heat magnifying windows!
The older brother of a friend of mine drove us to see Star Wars for the first time in one of those contraptions.

I swore then, that when I got my license, I would never drive one of them. That vow has been surprisingly easy to keep over the past 30 years.

6. I have one of those, only it's in silver.
It's a great car. It's fully loaded and the gas mileage isn't too bad.

7. Here is my station wagon
I love this car, and almost no one knows what it is. It does many different things well, has a strong engine, great pick-up, and gets 30+ mpg on the highway. No longer made, of course.

Of course, "station wagon" is an evil term; this car was called a hatchback. Now, SUVs are merging into station wagons as so-called crossover vehicles.

9. Oh me too!
I've wanted to buy one of those soooooo bad for the longest time... but I could have only afforded a used one, and I couldn't get a loan for a used car. :(

10. Well, the big thing now
is these SUVs like the Nissan Murano, and the Chrysler Pacifica... they look like wagons, except just a bit taller.

After I sold my little Kia Sportage, I bought a Pacifica and love it!
