I come to work to earn a paycheck, not to hang out with these people and watch them shovel lukewarm tater tot casserole into their pie holes.
But if I don't go, I'm the one who looks like a jerk.
I should have called in sick.

but I'm not there as I had to go have a test done at the hospital today. However, I would not have attended anyway. They all know I don't enjoy it and that I'm doing them a favor, too, by not attending. They've all come to accept it and life goes on.
