Lynchburg Va.

My wife's well basically her godfather had quadruple bypass surgery on Friday and we are going to see if we can visit him. We only found out yesterday. The "odd" thing is that just two weeks ago he was in for surgery on his stomach (something in the lower tract I think) and when he still wasn't feeling well he went back to the hospital and they now think that he had a heart attack somewhere between leaving the hospital and just the other day. Two of his arteries were 90% blocked.....yoou'd kinda think they might have looked for that in an 80 year old man huh?

We understand he is "doing well" but we really aren't sure what that means.

So, anyone need anything...can I pick anything up fer ya in GAWD's country?

2. With Christmas Lights?
drove through there once...........once

Maybe I'll see Jerry. A co-worker who grew up in Lynchburg was there a few weeks ago and didn't realize it but he walked into a restaurant right behind the preachuh and his secret servie like goons.

Wanna know how Jerry got so rich (one of the ways) ? He got teams of young volunteers to go into neighborhoods and get little old ladies to sign over the deed to their houses....right on the front porch sometimes too.

7. Actually
I think that washing your face in a Shoney's OR and IHOP in Lynchburg is considered by most theologans to pass for a baptism.

6. Believe it or not, Lynchburg was featured on a US commemorative coin
in 1936. The obverse ("heads") side features Senator Carter Glass, the third or fourth living person to be portrayed as him/herself on a US coin.

9. You'd be surprised at the sort of obscure stuff I can dig up
:D

By the way, what do you think the "right" Rev. Falwell would think of that lovely, scantily clad lady on the Lynchburg coin?
