I don't know much about sports. I think he was a really good hitter but he never hit the ball. Like, every time he made contact it was a homerun but he almost never hit the damned ball.
I don't get the reference to the grim reefer.

"Augenböggen" is a Swiss-German word I made up when I used to walk my goddaughter to kindergarten every weekday morning at the crack of dawn. It gave her a chance to correct me in English on my Swiss-German. This is how Luisa learned English with LOTS of slang and how I learned singular and plural in Swiss/German. Weird, I know, but effective. There's nothing a little kid likes more than correcting an adult. :rofl:
