I need to clean but can't motivate myself
Edited on Fri Nov-21-08 11:35 PM by Sugarcoated
my house, that is. My daughter is throwing a party for her one year old tomorrow afternoon and, once again, I've waited till the last minute to clean the office/computer room and bathroom.

The bathroom is pretty routine and I can crank that out in the morning, but the office (which is basically the other half of the livingroom) has a fair amount of organizing to tackle with lots of dusting. Maybe just typing this will get me moving somehow, why is this such an unending challenge for me? I keep the house picked up and the bathroom and kitchen clean, my piles are tidy, but why, why, why do I have such a problem with this? Can anyone relate?

3. Would you? I'd appreciate that.
I seriously wish there was a mechanical boot, like something from the Jetson's to make me stop procrastinating.

2. you too, huh?
I have to guests coming tomorrow to stay for 3 nights, and I haven't done shit. The place is a fucking mess.

I'm messy to start off, but combine that with my 3 week bender, and this place is a serious fucking shit hole right now.

4. Well, at least you have an excuse.
Mine may be a low grade chronic depression. I think. But then, I've had this procrastinating trait my whole life.

6. yeah, same here
I'm a big procrastinator.

I'm just sort of counting on getting some things done. I sort of have an excuse in that the washing machine is broken, so I can't wash sheets and pillow cases and things, but then that should mean that I'm getting other things done instead, shouldn't it?

7. I just want to read a book.
Shit, it's almost 12:30. I'll regret it big time if I leave it to do before the party. Rushing around always sucks so bad.

8. Tell her the one-year-old will never remember the mess.
See, problem solved. Get yourself a drink with a little colorful paper umbrella in it, and relax on the lounger.
