2. Sounds like a phishing trip. Don't enter anything.
Nobody should enter any information there!

5. Actually if you go to the Yahoo website...
there should be an address to email those sorts of phishing attempts to. It both helps them to identify new threats and to track down the sources for law enforcement and/or civil suit.

16. Sure.
Can't hurt. When forward these things to that address, I like to imagine that it's the first step in someone being busted and sent to jail. Picks up my mood every time.

15. Both.
It violates both policies. It pretends to be a corporate communication and it attempts to steal your personal information. Hence, it's both a spoof and a phish attempt.

17. Dubya's mother's maiden name is Pierce.
I know that because Barbara Bush is something like a 3rd cousin (or farther-apart on the family tree) of my deceased great-grandmother.

So...yeah. I'm related very distantly to those idiots. We can all trace our ancestry back to the same brother of Franklin Pierce...so you see, I'm distantly related to two of the worst presidents in history, three by marriage.

7. Yahoo knows the name you used for your account
A real mail will address you by that name.
"Dear Valued Member," or any variation thereof is the dead giveaway.
