Find birds the cats are most likely to hear in their back yard.

4. When I played the cardinal she was interested. |
|
Came over and sat underneath the computer. But then the chicadee, titmouse, purple finch didn't interest her at all. So I played the cardinal again and she had pretty much figured out that I was pulling a fast on over on her.

They both looked out the "bird window" where they normally see birds and seemed to realize it wasn't out there and ignorned it....

A little cruel, but great. I'm sick in bed with our tortoise shell kitty "Cookie". Cookie is the hunter of our two cats. She will stalk a moth or fly no matter how much stuff she knocks off of sills, shelfs, headboards, no sacrifice is too great.
Cookie was asleep at the foot of the bed, and I just played a finch sound. She stood up and made the kitty "question" noise. Stared in the direction of the computer and just curled back up.. I have a form a bedridden entertainment today!!!
:woohoo:  :woohoo:

I just played the lesser finch sound and Cookie got up and poked her head around the screen of my laptop, with her little nose pumping trying to smell out the birdie.. I did not know that cats used scent in hunting.. BTW I think a bird outside is trying to answer the lesser finch recording.:evilgrin:

10. woah, that's even better |
|
I wish it weren't so cold out, or else I'd open the back door and try to get birds to answer it.
Esther eventually figured out the cardinal noise much like Turtlensue's cats did, she went to the window and didn't see any birds.

11. Anyone else remember a TV show called Bird TV?? |
|
My Amber used to watch it every morning, and she'd perch on the edge of the bed, just cackling to her heart's content, watching the birds :)

The kittens got a little overwhelmed after awhile. LOL Lina figured out they were coming from the speaker but Lucy treated the speaker like it was in her way when she was trying to find the birds.
Thanx for posting that. :hi:

The dog can't figure out what's going on and the cat can't figure out how to get into the laptop to get the bird.
on edit: now the dog is convinced the cat's making the calls and the cat is hiding under the couch, freaking out about where the birds are.

15. Thanks. I forwarded it to all my friends with cats.... |
|
I am going to try it in the AM. My cats are all sleeping now and I do not want to disturb them. They can be very vindictive.
