I need a good vegan cheese that melts like normal cheese. |
I know Teese has been mentioned on here before but I don't think I can find that anywhere in town. A friend of mine mentioned another one he tried that is made by the same company as Tofurkey but he forgot the name. Any ideas or other suggestions?

2. I haven't had Teese, but in my experience vegan cheese sucks |
I didn't do dairy for awhile, but I didn't even bother with trying to substitute cheese.

5. I don't think Turtle Island Foods makes a "cheese" |
Follow Your Heart (the makers of Vegenaise) *allegedly* makes a good one.
If you have the time to wait, I'd order the Teese.

13. FYH Vegan Gourmet sucks. |
It has a very narrow range between "Hot enough to melt" and "hot enough to catch the rest of your food on fire"

Teese, otoh, lasts for ages, has flavor, actually melts... Oh, and it's cheaper too.

It used to get moldy on the shelf all the time when I worked at the health food store. It would be completely sealed, well before the sell-by date, and kept at the proper temp, yet getting moldy.

23. Once it's open? A week max. Usually more like three days. |
I quit buying it because I could NEVER use up a whole package without it going moldy.
