I feel old, tired, and dispirited.
Being unemployed in a big city in the colder months--it makes you feel decades older than you are.

We are always told to celebrate our youth while we still have it, and I wish I could. Instead, at the age of 26, I feel about 50.

1. Take it from me...
Who's 39 and has been laid off...hold on lemme count...six (6) times since 1999. And who still (occasionally) gets carded. It gets better. You'll find a new job (perhaps after New Years) where you're in a better place, making more money. Work out like a madman...keep your body fit and your mind will follow.

6. Strangely enough,
Got a stealth e-mail from a friend's spouse.

He's planning a roast for her 50th coming up in December.

Wants stories from all her friends, from when we knew her in her younger days (20's, 30's, and 40's)

That dude sure is in love with her, and who can blame him!

She is one of those beautiful souls I've had the pleasure to meet in person.

I'm (almost) 50, but feel like I'm 18, listening to Pet Sounds. It won't last long, but that's OK.

Pet Sounds might not do it for you, but I bet that some music will.

Hang on Sloopy.
