How Cold is it where you are tonight?
It's 37 but I'd swear it was 20 below... I'm FREEEEEEEZING... AND MY heat works fine, but well, maybe not so fine. Heck I was burning up now I'm freezing.

So what's the temperature where you are?

I'm in Arkansas

40. Big Apple is colder than the Mini Apple?
It is a "balmy" 31 in Minneapolis. But I suppose you got what we had here two days ago - 20 was the daytime high.

Suppose to be 40 here tomorrow, so there is hope for you in the East, yet.

10. You Arkies are all alike, ya know that?
My wife is from Arkansas, and she always complains about the cold.

Of course, she might have a point, since it's 20, with a wind chill that makes it feel like 10 here in Manch Vegas. I walked home from the big baseball dinner fundraiser and froze my keister off.

70. staying warmer
I never know what the temperature is here in England, because they don't use the real temperature to tell you - they tell you a code, and you have to convert it to temperature. I can't be bothered. I think they do this so that people have one less thing to complain about.

Can't/shouldn't complain but some still do...daughter came in last night complaining she was too cold even with a jacket on. Had to remind her it IS about to be December. 60's during the daytime/50's at night is not a big deal.

Keep in mind, the local TV news stations start the panic mode as soon as it gets below 50 (no, not kidding) with "Breaking news: coming up, how to stay warm". Ummmm, pull your jacket out from the back of the closet and put it ON, maybe???

72. Saturday about 6 AM, the TV said it was 24, but our back porch
thermometer registered 16. It is up in a corner, out of the breeze and the sun, and gives a pretty reliable reading.
10 days ago it was over 70.
We had snow flurries 3 days this past week.
It's a little warmer today, maybe 20.

South East Pennsylvania, northwest of Philly.
