Requesting lounge vibes please
Yesterday, I broke my foot (a Jones fracture). I may need surgery. I'm in a splint now and have a visit with a specialist on Wed. My entire family was supposed to come for Thanksgiving....and I'm hobbling around on crutches.

Any and all vibes gratefully accepted.

1. vibes coming your way
It's no fun going through something like that...I spent 6 weeks on crutches due to a football sized double sprain of my ankle and even with painkillers it really sucked! You have my sympathy...

4. Thanks Tom Kitten
I had a stress fracture in my other foot decades ago and it took at least five years before I could walk without some pain. The M.D. gave me some darvocet so at least the pain is a little less. I hope your ankle is back to 100%.

6. Thanks Simply Fugue
. I'm really feeling sorry for myself as I realize there will be no hiking or x-country skiing (we have six inches of snow on the ground), or skating in my near future.

8. Thanks Dystopian
 I have three nieces ages 20, 19 and 15 and they already know they will be helping out. My family hasn't been here to visit all year, so we are really looking forward to seeing them.

12. Sweet...
It will be a beautiful day with the girls in the kitchen...They'll have fun! Happy to hear that...a lively kitchen, and family not seen in a year spreading the love...You'll have a wonderful Thanksgiving in spite of your injury.

Sorry you'll have to curtail your activities for a while, though.
Will keep you in my thoughts, and please keep us updated on your MD appt. and prognosis...
Wishing you the best:hug:

peace~

10. I wish I knew exactly what happened
I was leaving the computer, stood up and took two steps and fell. I felt my left foot flex backwards and heard a crack. I'm not sure if my slippers caught in my robe causing me to trip or .....

There were people worse off than me in the E.R. Two sled riding incidents and one teenager was seriously hurt....I'm just feeling sorry for myself.
