they said they had a few other reports as well.
No way to tell what direction it came from for sure though due to echos off of buildings.

10. Will the cops drive your neighborhood? I live in Chapel Hill, NC |
|
where the student body president of UNC was kidnapped last March, driven around to ATM's for cash withdrawal, and then murdered about 100 yards from our house at 4:30 in the morning. One of our neighbors heard the gunfire (I was out of town)and called 911. The police found her body by driving in the area shots were heard--she had been shot multiple times and was already dead.
Hubby slept right through it.

12. I've been hearing gunfire all weekend....... |
|
......But then I live in rural Wisconsin and deer hunting season opened yesterday. So, I just ignore it. The Damn Mutts, however, are under daylight hours house arrest - which they do NOT appreciate, but I don't care. I do not want them out running through the fields chasing rabbits for the next 10 days.

At my apartment building, we do have car break-ins, and the occasional high drama from some domestic violence incident, but no open firefights so far...

Sadly, if somebody's brains were being blown out in some field, I wouldn't know it. I'd just assume somebody was shooting a deer or something.

29. So is it better or worse to not know where it came from? |
|
About a year back, I went to our local 7-11, up the street from home, at 3 am. I don't do that anymore. One side of the door had a group of about 10 teens, and the other side had a group of about 20. I went in, and moments later, 3 came in yelling that their friend had been maced and they needed water. About 2 minutes after that came 2 gunshots. Everyone disappeared but quick.
And thats why I love 7-11. how about you

Then at least you know in which direction to duck...
As for the rest of it...
that is why I dont go to certain areas of town after dark around here.
Even though we dont have a 7-11 here anywhere, I still can see that happening.

I am close to the border of uptown and the seedier part of South Minneapolis.
It is generally safe here, but anything can happen anywhere.
