Good morning Lounge
How is everyone? How was your weekend?

Saturday evening a friend came over for a bit. We chatted away and ate Spaghetti Bolognese I cooked from the scratch. Yummy, I tell ya.
Sunday I slept pretty much all day. Guess my body needed it.

Over the weekend the snow came but it doesn't stick. :(

Picture of the day

1. My Weekend sucked! My girlfriend has distanced herself from me since the election...

That really sucks. Did she distance herself because of the election outcome?

3. Good morning MissHC!
:hi: :loveya:

Well ... I ALMOST made it in time for your morning.

We made Spaghetti Bolognese on Saturday and used your recipe! :wow: Then we ate the leftovers last night. Yummy is right! :9

Glad you got some rest. You probably needed it!

I froze to portions for later. The longer it cooks the better.

9. What we did
is probably a big no-no. We cooked the whole package of spaghetti and served what we wanted of the spaghetti and sauce. Then we dumped it all together in the same pot and reheated it like that. It turned out REALLY yummy!

Where is everyone today?

But I think we're going to Fuddrucker's. Every time we try to have a sit-down lunch, they serve so darn slow that it keeps harleykid away from work for too long. And she likes Fuddrucker's. I wonder if that's flame bait around here?

23. I don't think so.
It's a burger joint. Not really fast food, though. They make your burger to order. So you order and pay from a line, but then sit down and they call your name to go up and get it. There's a "salad bar" type of things with all the fixings.

Trying to think of where we went where the food wasn't the best and the service was slow.

BTW, I took billyskank to Olive Garden. He said he HAD to go!

LOL! It ain't my favorite place, either, although they do serve real butter, real cream, and real maple syrup. That makes them pretty good for breakfast. I've been to places where they look at you like you're from Mars if you ask for any of those things.

35. yep, I moved
to my own place which is exciting - it's the first time I've lived alone.

It's bigger than I expected to get for my money, but it's extremely quirky (which is probably why I like it so much). The walls are all really wild colors (like I have an orange bedroom), but they are colors I can deal with - sort of like an autumn bouquet. The best thing about it is it's four blocks from work, so I can just walk in. :D

I'm pretty close to being totally unpacked - but I need to get another bookcase, because somehow in the move my book collection grew. My kitchen is going to need a little working with to get it how I want it. It's probably the room in the apartment which needs the most love.

Truth is, I hate moving, so I'll be really glad when everything is put away.

:bounce: Once you get settled, you'll have to post some pics. I LOVE colors! Our last house was very colorful. This one ... well ... we won't go there today.

Funny thing about books. You never have enough bookcases. We don't have any at the moment, so all the books are living in boxes in the attic.

Moving is so stressful. You'll be done before you know it. Of course, the last box always takes the longest to unpack. That's the one full of stuff you don't know what to do with.

It'll be fantastic, once I've got artwork hung, etc., etc.

And you are right, that last box is hardest (or in my case, the last few boxes). I have a whole lot of craft supplies and not enough places to put them. I'm not sure where they will end up.

12. W00t! I get to go see A Day in Pompeii today.
*fingers crossed*
I hope I can con my step dad into letting me get a nice Fresco print. Pretty please. What I wouldn't give to actually have a garden Fresco on one of my walls...or a real bath and garden like they did. Simply gorgeous. :D

For a rural poor dweller like me, this is amazing and rare event to get to go see such an exclusive exhibit.

:woohoo:

Today, I will be like a XXXVIII year old kid.

So, today, I'm going on an adventure to investigate what happened when Mount Vesuvius exploded and froze them all in time.

http://www.discoveryplace.org/pompeii/home/pompeii-home.php

I'm already plotting and scheming to get my step dad to also drive down the road a bit to the Charlotte Nature Museum too.

Plus, there's a math exhibit involving origami at one of the two places. In my family, one of the usual family get together events is a "math off" between my step dad and me. He goes for speed and I go for accuracy and between the two of us, we figure out how to hang a picture frame and level it. Meanwhile, my mother says, "Just lower the right side a little bit" over and over again to no avail. My mother and my aunt laugh at us for breaking out a level and a tape measure to do simple shit.

I'm going to see fun stuff today.

W00t! :woohoo:

66. Good morning Tuesday
:hi: :loveya:

I took the pic in Sweden. We were hiking and I almost stepped on the frog because you couldn't see him at all on the path. Scared the shit outta me. But made a good pic :)

Sounds like you had a wonderful weekend. Mom visits can be fun :)

69. Then it is even better
that you had such a nice weekend :)

I am more than happy that I get along with my mom so well and the she is supporting me in everything.

I have more than enough pics on photobucket. And even more on my home computer :)
