My Mom Needs Positive Thoughts.

My Mom's health has been deteriorating since the begining of October. At first it was three stomach ulcers, and then it was an infection around a torn rotator cuff.

Her platelette and her red count had dropped but they figured it was just because her system was a little weak fighting off infection.

She had been in a nursing home's rehabilitation program these past three weeks for her rotator cuff, and she was supposed to be coming home tomorrow.

Instead last Thursday she woke up screaming, the nurses went running in. She was delerious and her platelette count was way off.

They at first thought it might be another infection, as she has had several.

Instead it now looks like she has yet another form of luekemia. She all ready has CLL and Hemalytic anemia, plus Parkinsons. The new more agressive leukemia is why she has been getting infection after infection, and why the platelettes dropped, according to the doctor treating her now.

The doctor said Mom may only have between two days and two weeks left. My sister is calling for a second opinion.

I am at home and supposed to go back into the city to see my Mom on Wednesday unless my Mom gets worse in the meantime, then I will go sooner.

I just can't believe that this is all happening so quickly now.

On top of all this my Godfather died last week. He was 90 but it just seems like this is all hitting at once. I'm trying to hold on and stay strong for my sister and cousins, but its getting harder and harder.

Please send my Mom positive thoughts and or prayers if you are believers.

I don't drive very well but when my sister calls back I think I will have her come and get me as soon as she can. :hug:
