Lately I'm so ultra sensitive. Is this good or bad?

For the past month or so, I'm just embarrassingly sensitive to everything and everyone. Everything makes me emotional, and a lot of times I am tearful. But I don't mean I'm depressed or anything. Just "aware" is the way I would put it. It's hard to explain. I'm so tired of seeing pain inflicted on anyone, or any group. Maybe it could be the return of depression, I don't know. But it doesn't feel like that. It just feels like being super sensitive to everything around me, which is sometimes nice but sometimes painful. I don't know what to make of it.

Part of me is worried it could be depression in disguise, even though it doesn't feel like that. I just know that every news story, every post here on DU, every thing that is happening in my family is just amplified in my guts, so I seem to feel everything. Please don't laugh. I would probably laugh if I were reading this.

I can't tell if this is "good" or a "bad" sign.
