Since when do they start calling to solicit funds for the Hope Appeal?

By way of background...I go to church maybe once every 2 years.

You will understand why after reading this...it has nothing to do with my faith...it has to do with the church.

She was a member of my church, and I politely told her that I was not interested this year.

She said..."May I ask why". I said..."No you may not".

I should have said the following...

Yes, there are 2 reasons.

1) Someone from my church called me 20 years ago DEMANDING that I contribute $5,000 to the church renovation fund.

2) I don't like seeing my money being paid out to families for the sexual abuse of children.

Damn. What a world.
