today was sort of sad, sort of happy....

First of all, it was busy as hell. I was busy for almost 12 hours non-stop. I at my lunch under an awning in the snow, because I didn't have time to go somewhere and sit down.

Anyway, my last task of the day was playing in this big concert. We were playing a piece by a friend of mine who died in 2006. The last time I saw him was at a concert of this piece that we gave for him... he was very weak and looked really old for the first time in all the years that I knew him. He had cancer and was undergoing treatment. He died less than two months later. It was the last time I saw him.

His wife was there tonight, like she was that last night. I didn't expect her to be there (thousands of miles away)... anyway. It was emotional.

Nothing to say. No point. No moral. No story even. Just sharing.
