Poll question: Internet piracy, for or against. |
|
I download movies, music, software, whatever. I don't see anything wrong with that other than it's illegal. I'm sure the artists would have a different opinion.

What I do is download an album and if I like it, I'll buy it. If I don't like it, I'll almost always delete it.

2. Musically, I prefer to support artists by seeing them in person. |

I don't listen to any corporate music. Nothing major label. So usually I'll just download albums and then see them live or donate money to the artists directly via paypal or whatever.
When I used to play PC games I would always download them. Too many buggy, half made games get released to risk buying.
Every TV program I watch I download. Don't have cable.
I don't download movies, but then I'm not really a movie guy.
I kind of feel like pop culture in general should be free to those who are willing to subject themselves to it.

8. Even if you did listen to anything on a major label... |

They're getting fucked over by the label whether you download or not.

However, once in a while, if I can't find what I want through any of the legal channels, I ask Mr. MG to dig it up for me on the filesharing sites he's invited to participate in. I feel a little guilty about that. But Mr. MG, a computer guru, believes if there's absolutely no way to obtain some media legally, it's within your right to get it however you can.

Artists and their support staff deserve to be paid for their labor. But you won't catch me buying anything from iTunes again! The kind of restrictions they put on their product is ridiculous. And you get free stuff from Amazon if you drink enough Diet Pepsi, or know someone who does.
