I'm curious about something... How many have dreamed about
Edited on Wed Nov-26-08 02:13 AM by Ecumenist
a deceased loved one when you were "told" something by that loved one in the dream only to have it come true? I dreamt of my sister back in february 1986 and I had just broken up with a guy I had been seeing rather seriously for 3 years. In this dream, she told me that although she wouldn't say that she didn't like the ex, she didn't like him for me. I asked her if she could do better and she said that she could and had, in fact, chosen someone for me. It turned out to be someone I had been P-L-A-T-O-N-I-C friends with for the better part of 5 years. I had no feelings for him of a romantic sort and had been working like a maniac to find him a good woman. she told me that she wanted me not only to date him but that I would marry him. I told her that she could marry him. She just laughed at me. To make a long story short, I ended up marrying him 5 years later. Has this ever happened to anyone else? BTW, my marriage is the envy of family and friends.

1. My dear Ecumenist...
I have never had a dream like that, but how fascinating your story is!

How lucky for you...

I'd say you should pay attention to your dreams...

:hi:

2. Thank you so much California Peggy. I'm a California native and
resident too. Yes, I do pay attention to my dreams and I've had many more like that. I dreamt of my MIL the night she died. I saw her as she appeared a good 35 years younger. I had no idea that that was what she looked like and in fact, I saw her wearing her hair as she did at that time. I wasn't aware that she had naturally curly hair because I had only seen her with straightened hair. Yes, my dear, I always pay attention to my dreams.

3. in 1999 when I was pregnant
I had a dream that a fairy-type person came to me.

She showed me two bassinets...
one had a baby girl awake, and the other had a baby boy asleep.
I picked up the baby boy.
I didn't really think much about it at the time, just that "ok I'm pregnant having dreams with babies, not a shocker"

Unfortunately, I miscarried.
And I didn't think about that dream again until a few days after my miscarriage.
It kinda freaked me out in a "that is weird" kinda way, but it also gave me a "oh why didn't I see that?" feeling

I'm hoping that means sometime later there will be another baby. Not right now though, I'm trying to finish my degree.
(you hear that fairy lady? I'm in college!!!)

5. Somehow, Mrs Brady, I believe that you'll be getting your child within the
in a couple of years.

4. Edited to mean that it was in 1996, not 1986.

6. A couple of years ago I dreamt of my brother
while napping. He has been dead for about 25 years. In the dream I was telling him about all that's been going on. I was so happy to see him because I've missed him for so long. In the dream my daughter came in & he started teasing her, just giving her a real run for her money. Just a lovely, fun dream.
In real time my daughter did come in & woke me up. She wanted to borrow a couple of bucks for a pregnancy test.
We went to the store, picked one up & she took it. Yup, the best positive ever.
I've always wondered if my grandson has a little of his Uncle Jimmy in him. He's a funny, sweet boy, who loves music--Johnny Cash put him to sleep as an infant. Maybe his uncle is his spirit guide.
Anyway, it's a dream I cherish because I have dreamt of my parents, but only this one had my brother in it.
