Good morning Lounge
It is one day before Thanksgiving. What are you thankful for this year? Me? I am thankful for my family who supports me in my decision to buy a condo. Who helps me wherever possible.

15. Sure does.
We had people over and were making pizza. Preheated the oven, made the pizza, got ready to put it in and noticed the oven wasn't hot. Figured I'd done something wrong but I hadn't. Harleydad looked at it ... couldn't get it to turn on. Had to figure out how to do convection in the microwave, one pizza at a time. At least it worked. Just another headache to deal with. *sigh*

I'm OK. Not feeling like doing holidays this year. And I have NO idea why I'm awake! x(

How are you?

55. I had trouble waking up this morning.
Edited on Wed Nov-26-08 11:29 AM by blueraven95
It's my own fault...I woke up at 4:00am thinking I heard someone walking around my apartment, so I had to get up and check. I didn't find anyone (whew), so I got back in bed and then thought "wait, I didn't check the closets". My stupid paranoia wouldn't let me fall asleep until I got up again and checked the closets. Of course there was no one there, which I didn't think there actually would be...but still... I guess it's my own fault for watching so many crime shows - where people living alone are killed all the time, but I couldn't shake the feeling of slight terror for awhile. :scared:

silly paranoia  I have no idea what I thought I was going to do if I actually did find someone.

otherwise, I'm good. I'm going to my aunt's for Thanksgiving tomorrow - she makes the best turkey! I hope it will be fun, but I've got a feeling it might be fraught with drama - there are a lot of performers in my family and they have huge egos that tend to get a little squashed.

How about you? Are you doing anything wonderful tomorrow? Don't worry about the oven, it will work out okay, I'm sure of it.

edit to fix bad smilie. I really should know those by now.

25. Morning MissH!
Lovely photo, as usual.

I'm thankful that I still have a job, as frustrating as it gets sometimes. We're in deep budget cuts, and everyone is on pins and needles wondering if they are going to cut staff.

Also, I'm thankful that I'm off of work today. Just going to be in a leisurely type mode today. Heading to Minneapolis tomorrow for a couple of days. I am VERY thankful for that.

38. Just finished breakfast.
Two eggs scrambled with some chopped fresh spinach and some feta cheese. Yummy.

Bonus? We don't get bonuses where I work. As a matter of fact, last year was the first year that we received a holiday "gift". And as a matter of fact, my boss and I were just about to purchase department holiday gifts, but I just checked my work e-mail, and I'm to cancel the order. Hard times. Actually, I feel uncomfortable about gifts from employers, but that's just me.

lots of little things that I had to do. I only have one thing that has to get done today - everything else can wait until next week if I so choose.

You should have Thanksgiving. There isn't anything that makes it particularly American, and it's not a religious holiday. We should start a movement to create a global Thanksgiving holiday.

39. Well, seems I am stuck with the problems
I know now what the problem was. The clients wanted to upload Microsoft updates but the admin wasn't allowing it. Therefor the error. Now, part of the PC's I could upload the updates without problems. Two ... not so much. Microsoft didn't let me. It was searching for updates and then told me it couldn't do it. For no appearant reason. Have to try it again tomorrow. Go figure.

That is OK. Instead we have 2 holidays on Christmas. :)

and suddenly I only have one day of school this week and several days off work. The only thing I'm planning on doing today is taking a shower at some point, and maybe running to the pharmacy to get some decongestant. Got a bit of a stuffy nose, and I haven't had time to hang out with my friend who works there lately so I can kill two birds with one stone. :P
