Skeletor Has Panache. He Man Is Just a Big Jerk.

I know, I know. You're supposed to root for He Man, but he's such a big jerk. Rocky the Squirrel used to ridicule dudes like that, calling them "Dudley Do-Right." Skeletor doesn't just speak his lines, he works on style. What's not to like about him - his greed? His lack of moral scruples? Ah go on, that's not enough of a reason to despise him.

Why don't they have Skeletor in a moment of self-doubt? A little angst would make him more lifelike, more appealing. If I were a kid today, I'd wonder if it was normal not to hate Skeletor. Skeletor is everything negative. God, I hated being called negative when I was a kid. Being patriotic was positive. Disliking school was negative. Go get 'em, Skeletor.

2. Skeletor does not need angst or self-doubt;

His best quality by far is the relish he takes in being evil. If his face wasn't a skull, he'd be twirling his mustache nonstop.

He's a pretty ineffectual villain, but you're right that he is much cooler than He-Man.

If it was one of those lame episodes that he wasn't in, I changed the channel.

Skeletor was the only one on the show with a decent sense of humor. Warped, of course
