The movie is 25 years old and I still love it. It was playing this week on Lifetime Movies and I've been watching it again. I love it just as much today as I did 25 years ago.

I have the book and there is sharp bend in the book bind in the section where Maggie & Father Ralph finally consume their love at that beach resort.

**** sigh ****

My greatest heartbreak in life was finding out that Richard Chamberlian is gay.

4. I need to see it again.
All I remember about it was my crush on Richard Chamberlain. Didn't even remember his character's name, or anything about the story... I just remember thinking he was so dreamy. :P

3. Can't believe my eyes...
I read this book years ago, and still have it. I also watched the movie...
I remember giving the book as a Christmas present the year it was published. I loved it that much...

No crush, though.
Thank you for the memories...

peace~

5. Ah, memories!
Richard Chamberlain in that miniseries transcended generations--I remember watching Thorn Birds with my mom and we were both swooning (I was 17, she was 57). When I came down with chicken pox shortly afterward, she bought me the book to read while I convalesced.
