Carol Kane, Carol Kaye, Carole King |
|
Don't mix them up.
Kane = Played Andy Kaufman's wife on "Taxi," and was also in "Annie Hall" and "Princes Bride."
Kaye = Played bass guitar on every famous studio recording ever produced, including "Good Vibrations" and "La Bamba"
King = Played piano and sang on the seminal album "Tapestry," as well as writing "Natural Woman" and "Will You Love Me Tomorrow"
Stupid soundalike names. x(

1. Carol Kaye played on most studio recordings |

that Joe Osborn and James Jamerson didn't play on. Osborn backed the Carpenters, Mamas and the Papas, zillions of others and is still active as a studio bassist AFAIK. Jamerson was Motown's primary house bassist for fifteen years and is generally regarded as a demigod by us bass players.
