Since we all appear to be a bit bored, here's another lyrics game!
Identify the song and artist. If a cover version was done, more than one artist might be acceptable. These are all from *MY* iTunes "Everything But Country" playlist, since I did all country music last time. There is a wide variety of genres and time periods represented here. Good luck, and no Googling!

:hi:

1. I know I left too much mess and destruction to come back again.

2. Tell me how it feels to be, the one who turns the knife inside of me.

3. Will she trick-or-treat? I bet she will.

4. You're such a secret, misty-eyed and shady.

5. I should've walked away, I should've walked away.

6. We're beating ploughshares into swords for this tired old man that we elected king.

7. And throw 'I love you' echoes down the canyons.

8. We are agents of the free.

9. There's lots of pretty, pretty ones.

10. I hate to bug you in the middle of dinner.

11. Another place where the faces are so cold.

12. How can you turn, denying the fire?

13. What it meant to me will eventually be a memory.

14. Your moves are so raw.

15. In the end what you don't surrender, well the world just strips away.

16. And when you love him, he becomes un-attracted to you.

17. Isn't there a white knight upon a fiery steed?

18. Pulverize the Eiffel Towers who criticize your government!

19. Yeah--my, my, such a sweet thing.

20. Well I hear the music, close my eyes, feel the rhythm.

21. You gave me love for free.

22. I'd stare a lifetime into your eyes.

23. When I feel down, I want you above me.

24. Hot metal and methedrine--I hear empire down.

25. She is like a cat in the dark, and then she is the darkness.

26. I went numb when I learned to see.

27. There's one more kid that'll never go to school.

28. I've heard this life is overrated, but I hope that it gets better as we go.

29. And I'll keep this world from draggin' me down.

30. Operation filth, they love to love the wealth.

31. I just stand by and let you fight your secret war.

32. In this seaside town that they forgot to bomb, bomb.

33. A sailor's only daughter, a child of the water.

34. The world outside looks so unkind.

35. My morning sun is the drug that brings me near.

36. Now I have loved you like a baby, like some lonesome child.

37. When you can't really function, you're so full of fear.

38. Their tears are filling up their glasses.

39. That stole the only girl I loved, and drowned her deep inside of me.

40. Well you just leave me nailed here, hanging like Jesus on this cross.

because I'm very stressed out and not happy about it.... I have no idea if these are right - or even close. They're stabs in the dark. Hope that doesn't break the rules.
