I posted a dumb copycat thread in GD

suggesting that instead of a dog the Obamas should get a penguin or an architeuthis or an alpaca or a loggerhead shrike, and it got deleted. WTF? Are copycat threads forbidden anywhere but the Lounge?

I liked your penguin copycat thread. My pony copycat thread only got locked.

I'm too new to know the rules here, but apparently copycat threads are only allowed in the Lounge. I only posted a copycat thread because I got tired of reading all "the Obamas should get." So I figured if I can't lick'em, I'll join'em. Just my style to arrive at the party in time to get locked out...oh well.

Usually, copycat threads are locked with a moderator note that copycat threads are only allowed in the lounge.
