so I hardly drink at all. People think you're conservative or a recovering alcoholic if you don't drink... I just prefer to avoid excruciating pain.

Now I really enjoy the whole aspect of drinking - making cocktails or tasting wines or tequilas etc. I still enjoy the buzz but in the old days it was mostly just to get plastered. I can still drink most anybody under the table, but I sure pay more the next day than I used to and I hate wasting a whole day on recovering, unless it is a special occasion.

a good brandy or vodka or whiskey or ... but that being said, I probably have 2 drinks per month. I don't mind the very edge of tipsiness, but I loathe being drunk, have only been so maybe 3 times in my life.

24. No. I retired from my drinking career nearly 21 years ago.

Used to be a bar band musician starting in the mid 1960's, and off and on for over 15 years. Alcohol was (is) an occupational hazard, other substances as well. I quit when it became a real problem, and no longer do nothin'.

FWIW, the hardest thing I ever quit was cigarettes about 18 years ago.
