Poll question: Holiday Introspection. |
|
I am given to serious introspection everyday, so I can't really think about holiday introspection. I believe that a life unquestioned isn't worth living,* and that if I am oblivious to my surroundings, and to my effect on other people, I am not doing the world any good.
Gratitude is very important to me. In times -- like the current economy, or like TG Day -- when I have plenty and the gap between me and the homeless & hungry is brought into sharp relief, I look inward like a mofo, being aware of what I have and being grateful, and wondering what I can do for the homeless & hungry.
Anyway, these musings about the subject made me wonder what others' take is. What do you think?
* A variant on one of Mrs. V.'s favorite themes: an unquestioned faith isn't worth having.

1. I think we should look within ourselves whenever possible, not just on holidays. |

2. That's difficult though, I don't have an X-Ray or MRI handy. |
