1. How the hell are Ra, Nirrti, and Anubis more popular than Apophis?

Apophis was the best system lord until they introduced Baal.

Ra was just a man-woman-child who was played by a different actor in the series, everything Nirrti did was sort of a B storyline, even in the episodes that were about her, and Anubis was just an over-the-top bad guy cliche with oily skin (more than the rest). Where's the love for Apophis or Yu?

I had no idea that the actor who played Apophis had a strong Jamaican accent. I couldn't tell through the flange voice effect.

'cause Jaye Davidson is frikkin' hot. But if you're just going by the show, I liked Apophis. After that they started scraping the barrel for storyline ideas.

I just said they started scraping the barrel for ideas. And eventually they found new routes to go. Some better than others. Some that I missed because I didn't have cable for a little while. So I could very well have missed the best parts of seasons 6-8. However the first few seasons were what first got me into the show, so I have a fondness for them.

11. Solution: Whole series on DVD.

Seasons 6-8 were great. 9 was ok and 10 started to get back to the level of seasons 1-8.

I didn't even see the show until the 7th season and became a huge fan thanks to the SG1 Monday mini-marathons that SciFi did. I got my then-girlfriend hooked on the show and we teamed up to buy the whole series. She then got her mom hooked on the show and her mom ended up buying the whole series too.

Now it's your turn to stimulate the economy. Alternatively, Netflix has the whole series and is a whole lot cheaper.
