Tonight on tv, I saw an add for this weekend's movie: assault on precinct 13. However, it was a remake. I didn't even know they'd remade that. Why would they do that?

"The Day the Earth Stood Still" is one of my favorites and although I'm not fundamentally against remakes I have absolutely no confidence Keanu can do for the role - in any decent interpretation of the story - what Michael Rennie did.

But I'll probably go, I'm a sucker for such things every time.
