It is 12:37 am central time, who is still up and why.
I am staying up to wake up certain people so they can go shopping at 5 am, I have no urge to go out into that crowd.

1. I am.
Cause I'm not tired enough yet. I should have some chocolate milk or something.

18. Yeah, I'm gonna get some.
I gave up caffeine a month or so ago, but started drinking it again around 7 this morning, and only stopped around 2 hours ago... so that may also be playing a part in my non-sleepiness. :P

16. It is interesting to see the wide range to time zones that DU'ers live in.
I am a night owl, working early voting nearly kills me.

22. Japan Standard Time
It never changes during the year-- so in the summer, sometimes it starts getting light outside at 4:00 in the morning, or before.

23. That would be great for early voting.
I leave in the dark and come in the dark, light would make easier I think.

25. They just had a couple of elections around here
No early voting, as far as I could tell, but the voting was on a Sunday and the polls were open for most of the day.

14. I am, not sure why... I'm an hour earlier, not that it matters.
My brain always seems to become more active the longer it has to warm up... therefore, I'm usually awake at the wrong time.

Maybe it's because it's quiet and there are limited distractions so I end up starting to think and question more - because I can. It isn't always fruitful, because most people do their thinking and leave their curiosity to normal hours.

I have no pragmatic excuse like you do, so I feel even more idiotic : ).

Wait - they have no access to devices called alarm clocks? Just about every cell phone has one, too... my favorite, though, is this one (available on any computer with an internet connection):
http://onlineclock.net/
It's huge and annoying and unavoidable. Can be set to military time if preferred. Also has a countdown timer and stopwatch if I remember correctly. Very cool. Very useful.

Why do you have to do this for them? Doesn't seem fair! : )

19. I don't mind and it will be fun waking them up in a few hours.
I am watching my UNCLE dvd's.

I use my cell phone as a alarm clock, didn't know about the on line clock.

I don't have to work so why go to bed.

24. Hi, texanwitch
I am awake here in Minneapolis because I ran out of vodka last night, and the wine only kept me asleep for a couple of hours. Decided to drink more wine and surf DU whem i woke up.

No friends or family to shop for, so I can sleep in on Friday,
