Today I learned in GD that because I buy my groceries at Walmart and drive a "foreign" car, I am both unpatriotic and unamerican.

I do shop at Target - I buy alot of Little MB's clothes there (I do have SOME standards you know - those Walmart clothes are atrocious).

And my foreign car, well, my dad makes up for it by owning multiple GM cars :rofl:

I shop wherever - ya know? If I abided by what is apparently the "true American" mantra, I wouldn't go to Walmart or Dunkin Donuts. I go to both. I'm dead without strong coffee, and I live on a budget. It is what it is. If anybody is willing to buy me anything I need, PLEASE - pm me and I'll tell them who to make the check out to. :P

I couldn't afford to buy a used Japanese car when my old one died and used American cars are a lot cheaper. Of course, the repair bills have been a lot higher, so I expect it all evens out, but - hey! - I'm keeping my American mechanic solvent.

I've been known to shop at MallWart for the same reason, but I do believe the toilet paper and dog food I buy there are made in the US. Do I get any absolution for that?

Come to think of it poverty is getting as American as apple pie these days, so I guess I do.

I don't like Wall Mart, but I also live in a city, several miles from the closest one, and I have a choice. I confess to buying cheap curtains there a while back, so now I get to be in the elitist group of the unpatriotic (well that's true kinda in a Howard Zinn kind of way, different reasons than fucking Wall Mart) Can't be un American though. I was born here.
