It is now illegal to stab Sarkozy Voodoo dolls in France.

PARIS – A French appeals court says Voodoo dolls of President Nicolas Sarkozy may remain on sale, but must carry a notice saying that pricking them harms the president's dignity.

Damn!

Now I have to tell my friends that they can't use the pins on the Christmas present I got them?

That doesn't seem fair.

why wouldn't he just ignore such silliness?

2. Back in 2005, I stuck pins in my Bush doll.
I jumped off the ship on my way out to Guantanamo, and managed to swim to Broward County Florida aided by the vodoo gods.

The rest, as they say, is history.

3. The same way hanging effigies of black men in America,
harms the dignity of the American Presidency.

Think about the message it conveys and be repelled by it, or not, as your soul dictates.

4. sorry but i don't see the connection
i live in new orleans and a fair number of people selling voodoo dolls are black and people pretty much understand that they are just a gag type of thing

if sticking a pin in a doll did anything half the town would be de-populated by now...ok, ok, bad example

but i still think if the man is experiencing odd pains in his kidney, he should talk to his doctor or his shrink rather than blaming the humble seller of a novelty item

as far as the dignity of the american presidency, bush harmed that just fine, all on his own

10. i'm not ok with hanging black people in effigy but what does this have to do w. the price of rice?
i guess i've advanced to the point where i'm more color blind that i realized, as i didn't know the glorious leader of france was black, for some reason i just thought he was a ninny married to a model
