Had to go to the bank today.

Spoke with a teller I've spoken with many times before. Sweet, charming, absolutely beautiful.

She asked me about my Thanksgiving. I asked about hers.

Her family came down from Manteca and they all had a big family Thanksgiving. She said that she doesn't get to see them as often as she'd like. I asked if she had a traditional Thanksgiving dinner and she said "Sort of...we make rice and vegetables and stuff...what did you have?"

I told her that I made lemon-pepper chicken breasts with rice pilaf for my Thanksgiving day dinner.

She said "OOOOOH...a COOK. You're making me WANT SOME."

Life is good. When you can get to the point in life where you like being you, you have WON THE GAME, my friend. Life wanted to kick my ass in 2008 and I kept kicking back. I'm a lucky guy. I am blessed. That's my holiday wish for you, too...no matter what your current situation, go take a look in the mirror and love what you see looking back at you.
