When I'm dreaming and a bad storm comes up,flooding etc, I realise I'm dreaming (these were real nightmares). I then control the dream and do pretty much anything in it.

Can't really blame him. Christopher Meloni is damned hot.
I think it's time to bust out the Oz dvds.

4. I always wake up before the good part. |
|
Or something happens in the dream to distract me from the good part and then I wake up. Dreaming pisses me off sometimes.

7. I dreamnt about 9-11 for years before the attack |
|
Not planes smashing into buildings, but huge jumbo jets are only 100 feet off the ground..Then I would see a huge fireball and I could feel the terror. Haven't had that dream since the attack.

My first thought was 'I want to fly', so I started flying, and woke up almost immediately. x(

I've had some very interesting dreams over the years.
One of the first times I recall realizing I was dreaming was when I was a teen, and there was a giant tsunami headed towards us. Everyone was panicking and rushing for higher ground, and I tried to calm everyone by saying "don't worry, it's only a dream..."

Years ago I used to have terrible nightmares. I read up on lucid dreaming and did some journal work and exercises. One night, I had a dream where I was getting shot, and all the prep work I did finally kicked in and I stopped the bullets (actually, I don't know if I stopped them "Matrix"-style or if I just let them hit me but not hurt me).
Since then, I haven't had a problem with nightmares, although my control of dreams is limited to halting terrorizing scenarios and making myself fly when I start out falling.

but if I wake up and go back to sleep, sometimes I get stuck in this weird half-dreaming state, where I'll replay my last dream but change things. It's very bizarre. Then again, since I only remember the dreams that I wake up in the middle of usually, maybe it happens to me more often than I know. :P

On more than one occasion I've recognized that I was dreaming. However, I can't recall how much I was able to control the outcome of the dream. Apparently some people are able to discipline themselves to control their dreams. Most of the time, it seems things are just happening in my dreams without logic or order or visible control.

But the strangest thing ever was I used to be able to connect with an old friend in dreams, he knew it and I knew it too. We got to the point of meeting in dreams deliberately.

14. I have had recurring dreams (nightmares?) sometimes they make me sit |
|
bolt upright in my bed they are so bad, but I haven't had those in a while. I've never had the feeling like I could control them, though...and they didn't make any sense.

15. Maybe. I can never really tell whether I'm "controlling" my movements/actions or not. |
|
Sometimes things will happen in a dream because I thought of them, like if I imagine somebody peeking in the window, and then all of a sudden they're there. I've also done things like pointing guns at people in my dreams, but once again I can't tell if it's voluntary on my part.

I rarely recall having dreamt at all, but when I do, If i have the luxury of sleeping as long as I want, I will often wake up, then go back in, only with control of the dream.

17. sometimes, but not usually |
|
If I realize that I'm dreaming and think about controlling it, I lose focus and then wind up in some other dream and get pissed off.
Far more often, I know that I'm dreaming, but can't change anything, and it's still completely horrifying. My dreams aren't about disasters and things... they're usually about weird emotional personal situations, which some times scare me awake.
I have entire invented worlds in my dreams - some I return to... it's a strange place. Ugh! why did you have to make me think about this right before bed??!

just like TV. Never fails and has always kept nightmares away. I suggest you try it.
