Post a song you slow-danced to at a Junior High (or Middle School) Dance.
Here's a good one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XZcG0NBMcDA

Ahh, the memories--the girl I liked had grown about a fool taller than me over the summer. Still managed to get my dance on with her, though. :loveya:

When I finally did, it was with this co-worker. I had a huge crush on him. It was at a jazz bar to a live band performing "Just the Two of Us." This was in 93 or so.

27. Worst night of my life.
Alright, slight exaggeration. But, I remember trying to screw up the courage to ask the prettiest girl in school for a dance. Finally, I did and she said YES! So we head out to the dance floor, and the DJ announces it's the last song...she looks at me painfully and tells me she's sorry but she was saving the last dance for my friend Pete, and I could dance with her at the next dance. Dejected, I agreed and sat back down and watched them dance. There were no other dances that year, and she moved away over the summer and I never saw her again.

Years later I came across her profile on MySpace and she got ugly, so that made me feel better :)

41. Pieces of April - Junior high 1972?, I think

gawd am I old. And wow, Three Dog Night had a lot of hits.

(D. Loggins)
from the album The Best of Three Dog Night

April gave us springtime and the promise of the flowers
And the feeling that we both shared and the love that we called ours
We knew no time for sadness, that's a road we each had crossed
We were living a time meant for us, and even when it would rain
we would laugh it off.

I've got pieces of April, I keep them in a memory bouquet
I've got pieces of April, it's a morning in May

We stood on the crest of summer, beneath an oak that blossomed green
Feeling as I did in April, not really knowing what it means
But it must be then that you stand beside me now to make me feel this way
Just as I did in April, but it's a morning in May.

I've got pieces of April, I keep them in a memory bouquet
I've got pieces of April, but it's a morning in May

I've got pieces of April, I keep them in a memory bouquet
I've got pieces of April, but it's a morning in May

"Love Hurts", Nazareth.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=soDZBW-1P04

You have GOT to see the video. Worst hair EVER.

Clarification: Because I was painfully shy and not at all popular, I did not get to slow dance in junior high. My first slow dance was in high school, senior year, with a British exchange student. I wasn't popular then, either, but the English guy didn't know he wasn't "supposed" to dance with me. I was already an anglophile, so his asking me to dance just put me over. the. moon. Interestingly enough, I don't remember the song we slow danced to!
