I scored a deal at Staples on the way home tonight

I needed a cartridge for one of my printers, but they had a 19" Emachines/Gateway monitor on sale FOR THE DAY for $99, $100 off. They had one new in the box left. I bought it for my beautiful Daughter for her Xmas present. Plus a Microsoft 3000 cordless notebook mouse for $13. The roads were DEAD at 6:30 tonight, and the malls on the way home were empty.


Santa Retail is not going to be happy this year. And I bet we see some of the most amazing prices in history within a week or too.

1. Yeah, I held off today, but I expect the next few weeks to

bring awesome prices because fewer people are willing to spend as much money on presents this year. Everyone I've talked to has plans on "cutting back" on their Christmases, and are rather going to enjoy the company and the spirit over the presents.

It's funny how in times of crisis we find what's most important.

2. She hinted that she 'only' had a 17', which I gave her three Christmases ago

so a bigger monitor is appropriate now. But she isn't complaining about the notebook she got last summer. LOL
