Biggest prick in team sports
I hate and loathe Barry Bonds and Terrell Owens. Both are completely self-centered numbers junkies who couldn't give a dog turd whether their teams win as long as their statistics glitter. They are unconscionable. But they are not even fit to carry the gym bag of assholery belonging to the single most overwhelming self-absorbed shitbag in the history of team sports: Stephon Marbury.

The Wolves are my hometown team, or were until they traded KG (and I haven't watched a Wolves game since) so maybe I have a little more animosity, but Knicks fans can feel free to get in on the bashing.

Marbury is the supreme asshat of modern team sports. He makes more than $20 million a year. Has he ever been past the first round of the playoffs? Once, maybe twice, if at all? Couldn't deal with the fact that a no-brain Hall of Famer (the brilliant Garnett) was more popular, important and selfless in Minny. Has whined, complained, prima donnaed and bitched like a bad-tempered little girl everywhere he has ever played because no one has ever kissed his ass enough. One of the great, team-obliterating ball hogs in the recent history of the NBA. Does ZERO to help his team if it means diminishing his own stats.

He sings one song: "Me, me, me, me. me. me, me, more me, more me! I am God's gift to your team and the NBA; I am underappreciated and underworshipped" everywhere he has ever played and how he cries and complains because the hopelessly inept Knicks have even had their fill and are either going to trade him to the NBA equivalent of Dumbfuckistan or will park his miserable, solipsistic, whining ass on the bench forever and pay him NOT to play (IMO, the perfect punishment for such a selfish asshole).

Like Norm Coleman, Marbury is a walking, talking turd. But no one is paying Norm $20 mill a year, even considering all the graft he actively solicits and pockets.

1. Since he got paid,
He shouldn't complain about things. Especially about things like people not kissen up to him.

Nobody should ever be expected to kiss up, I personally believe that is part of integrity a person gives up when they are forced to bow to another person.

But I don't follow sports, so don't even know who you are talking about.

But the reason I post is I agree, when I see those with much complain about not being in lime light, or not having even more, it does tempt me to lesser thoughts also.

The concept of solipsistic is interesting. It is a trap, if people can believe they only exist, or others do not deserve equal empathy and respect, then they can treat others badly. It is a common one used.

2. Honestly, there's no way to know
Since our only source of information is the media which is notoriously unreliable.

LOL

I was just about to post the same thought on another thread.

Thats one of the reason I try to avoid personality bashing, or name calling, sometimes you don't even know if what we are told about a person has anything to do with who they are.

But if it is true, then breaking up corporate media would be a needed first step to establish the fourth estate of government.
