I'm sitting here with a wheelchair with two batteries, one of which is dead. So first thing on monday I have to harrass the dealer to come out here and replace it. Then I have to run around and file paperwork a dozen different places.

Being on disability means having to run around everywhere to prove that you're extremely mobile. :P

I'm just treading water successfully and teaching myself to swim. :)

I was going to move in with someone else, but that fell through. I think because my health took a quick downturn and got a little scary. So I'm staying where I am, and I have to find a roommate.

I'm now not working, so I'm just now tackling the mess about applying for disability.

My pain is getting worse, so I have to upgrade my pain meds again, but my pain management doctor doesn't take medicaid, so I have to rush to do it before I lose my insurance.

Somehow I hope it will all work out. :)

ZI is finally getting a little breather after a very busy quarter . He has to teach for the last week of classes, but we can use that extra money right now. I'm not working any more. I'm going to be applying for public assistance, Social Security Disability and eveything else.

Pain is worse, more constant and more severe. I'm losing more use of my hands and eyes. I can't sleep worth a damn, which makes everythign worse.

Somehow I'm still doing okay. I don't know how. :P

I'm still smiling and getting through day by day. I have incredible, wonderful friends. Some of them make sure I have a computer so I don't get cut off and become isolated. Others come over and bring me food.

I love people. :)

And now I'm back, so I have people to talk to every day. Life is good. :)

I can't tell you how wonderful it is to be back online right now.

I'm stuck in this apartment until the new batteries arrive for my chair (under warranty, thankfully) so now I'm not stuck here alone. I have a lot of wonderful company. :)

I got moved out of my apartment for 5 weeks while the building partially renovated the place, and then I got moved back in right before Thanksgiving. Now that I have a renovated apartment and I'm moved back in, it looks nice and it's remodeled to be wheelchair accessible.

It's wonderful that so many people helped me come back. I'm going to be living on pennies and debt for the next year until my disability insurance kicks in.

Mostly, the best way to handle the pain and suffering is to deal with it without thinking about it. If I don't wallow in it or invest in it then I'm okay. So I don't exactly ignore it, but I come pretty close. :)
