Are we the only DUers who had their day sucked away watching The Stand on Sci-Fi?

Only 2 hours left.

:woohoo:

and I suspected I was a little off with the name. No author should make a character named after a drink, at least in a horror story.

Besides, the people I heard repeating that part of the line were mostly from Texas, so I'm giving myself a double pass.

4. Loved the books and the mini series.
I still have it on VHS from the first airing. Love Ossie Davis, Laura San G. and Miguel Ferrer in it.

8. Ugh....with Molly Ringwald as Frannie Goldsmith?
I've never seen it...but, when I heard about THAT casting... :-(

I liked the book...thought it could make a great miniseries.

9. I thought she did a good job in the series.
Her role wasn't as important as it was in the novel so that may be one reason for my thinking.

16. I love the Stand...but I find, as in any Stephen King work...
he's not good at writing female characters. They tend to all come out more or less the same. Terribly annoying.
