Bayou Classic: Southern's "Human Jukebox" spells out "Jan 20", then "Obama" on the Superdome field!!
for those of you just joining us, the Bayou Classic is the annual clash between Division I-AA Football Championship Subdivision rivals Southern University and Grambling State University, held at the Superdome every year except for 2005 (Houston). The major reason an FCS game between two historically Black universities (but note: Southern's punter is white!) is nationally televised on a real network is the halftime "Battle of the Bands" between Southern's famed Human Jukebox ("often imitated, but never duplicated!") and Grambling's band, which is also pretty good.

No contest this year! Grambling's formations looked a little raggedy. All Southern really had to do was show up. Instead they did a few diagonal lines -- then spelled out "JAN 20"! Then they moved around some more. I thought, "Are they really going to do it? What will their Young Republican chapter say?"

And they did! They spelled out "OBAMA" -- to thunderous applause, of course!! :bounce:

4. Aww, don't be hatin' on Urkel!
True, he might be a (string cheese-lovin', polka-dancin', Winslow house-wreckin') repuke -- but he probably went to Harvard or Caltech or someplace. :-)

5. By popular demand, often imitated but never duplicated, the Southern University Human Jukebox!
(the good part runs from about 1:20 to 2:05)
