He's $399 at Petco.

A Fancy Green Cheek Conure.

His color scheme indicates a hybrid of a pineapple, GCC, and black cap conure. (black head with his neck feather area like a black cap, breast area and feet like a pineapple)

He's also very very shy and does not like anyone -- he will stare at people, but once people stick out their hands - slowly - he will scoot away.

A unique bird, but I already have two conures that got so jealous when I played with Piri the parrotlet I gave her up ( :cry: ) though when I play with either conure, they other doesn't throw a tantrum... and such a "mutation" may be the type that oughtn't be bred, and so on... nor do I want my greed to compel me to get another beak to feed, even if it is such an unusual and gorgeous weird looking shy bird and it took months to get my Scooter to let me scratch his neck (Scooter was traumatized, I think this multicolor wonder has just been neglected.)

Even if money wasn't an issue (and it by and large isn't), I need to remember self-control and that I have two loving pets already.

And pets have a right to choose their owners too. He just didn't like me; Scooter and Rusty did when I got them.

This time it is greed and I won't follow through.
