Lowe's, Home Depot, Ben Franklin, Michael's, SteinMart, Barnes and Noble, Kohl's, Bath and Body Works, Dress Barn, Hallmark, Pier I, Old Navy, Office Max.

I think that's it for the immediately near shopping area. BUT, we're getting an upscale Wal Mart !!!! Across the street!!!! and a Penney's.

10. Depends on what "in your area" means, geographically
In my village? Nothing. Zip. Nada. One Mobil gas station, one Sunoco gas station. One small grocery store.

However, about a 10-minutes' drive away there's a McDonalds, and a 20-minute-ish drive away, in two directions, there are two chain-store hells--so extensive I can't even begin to list the chains.

13. I'm thinking within 20 miles is good.
I figure 15 to 20 miles is fairly close enough. Anything over that and it is a special trip to me.
