Finally. We used to have just a regular, oh I don't know, like a 24' inch tv in the family room. Last year, my dd 11 decided it was time for her to have her own room. Bye-bye family room.
We have a room we called the "quiet room" No tv, no stereo, just comfy furniture, an antique organ, and a fireplace. Thurs. evening, we had the strong young men here for T-giving put the organ out on the curb. By Fri. AM, a woman came to the door and asked if she could take it. Our pleasure - get it the hell out of our house! After some research, I had discovered that it was worth $200-300 at most. I feel good giving things away.
Anyway, I went out and bought a 42' 1080 tv. Put it where the organ was. So far we can only play Wii and watch dvd's. The cable guy can't come until Thursday, but the picture is AMAZING!

13. Now that made me laugh. Well played. |
|
With extreme prejudice.
P.S. Not to be laughing at the OP. I'm sure I've made that mistake dozens of times even with Tap's cautionary tale ever in mind.

6. 42 = life, the universe, and everything. And has been said, 42 feet is marvellous... BTW, |
|
can I have some money?
Like $30,000, which would likely be the price of a 42' television once they become economically profitable?

11. This is an internet discussion forum. Don't feel that way. |
|
Those who respond unkindly are either making jokes or have a big haughty holier-than-thou stick up their asses.
With me it's the former, but for some it's the latter. Something we all need to remember; as with the number of faulty predictions alone have proven time and again, internet discussion forums are not the place for de facto, unmitigated reality.

12. Curbside Free Market. My daughter does that. |
|
She's picked up some big plastic back yard toys that way. A slide, sandbox, kiddie swing, etc.
Last summer the rusted out gas grill was retired at curbside. Over a couple of days it disappeared, piecemeal. Great way to recycle stuff. One man's trash is another man's treasure. :-)
