I need Hugh Jackman's quote from early in, something along the lines of "a man's got to have his own story." Do you recall the exact phrasing? My memo recorder crapped out.
thanks.

1. Me! He was talking to Nullah and I thought it was the little boy's quote |
|
about why he had to go on "walkabout" with his grandfather. The movie was magic, big country, colorful characters, and a tremendous story. No, the slow-motion photos of Hugh's character "Drover" won't appeal to most men, but I LOVED them and that's how a woman like "Mrs. Boss" would see him. At the end, the audience was clapping - that doesn't happen often.

Do you remember the exact quote? I need it for a review :)
I thought it was great. I was relieved to see it wasn't all Hollywood formula and had plenty of "Baz."

3. I found it on-line in another review: |

'In some ways, this film is typical Baz Luhrmann. His philosophies are peppered beautifully through the film. His famous motto "A Life Lived in Fear is a Life Half Lived" introduces the film, and one of my favourite lines comes from the laconic Drover: "The only thing you own is a story. Better make it a good one".' http://www.abc.net.au/local/stories/2008/11/19/2423511.htm?site=kimberley
