I've been playing phone tag with 2 different doctors offices ALL DAY LONG

ugh...

I want to SCREAM!!!

I hate doctors. I hate doctor's offices. I hate doctors' office waiting rooms. I hate their voice mail. I hate how their staff thinks their time is more valuable than anybody else's. I hate how it took two weeks (almost TWO whole weeks) of phone tag to set up the stupid MRI. I hate how everybody can complain to an airline when things go wrong, but there is nowhere to complain when a doctor's office treats a person like crap. I hate the way Laura Bush had a problem with her neck, and got it fixed in a week yet I've had this problem since July. I HATE my neck.

All I want is to take a shower today. But I know the moment I step into the shower the stupid doctor's office will call me back. :cry:

It is now after 3 p.m. and this started at 10 a.m. this morning.

2. Go in person to the office.

I've found that it works. If you're standing there, the person at the desk generally has to take care of your issue or you just keep standing there.

I know it involves traveling to the doc's office, but it works. You need no appointement to talk to the person at the desk and they don't want you standing there, so they fix you up.

They are all the way across town, but I will do that tomorrow a.m. if I don't hear from them by that time. Knowing my luck, I'll get a call back when I'm within 5 mins. of their office!

My doctors are only 2 miles apart from each other. You'd think they were in different countries, though!

One doctor's office called me back. They just wanted to verify I had the same insurance. Didn't resolve anything. Said they will call me back as soon as they can.

I'm thinking lizziegrace's theory has some real merit. :-(

9. hmm... sounds like more fun than I've had

It is now 4:19 p.m. Now that one fax has finally been "re-sent" by one office. I am still waiting for them to call me back from the other. It is 4:20 p.m. and I have still not had my shower today. :-(

10. Final update:

The one woman who apparently has sole authority to make an appointment with the appropriate doctor has gone home for the day.

I guess I'm going to have to go take care of this in person tomorrow.

If an airline ran this way we'd never get off the ground.
